Dunno the figures for WW1 or 2 but the figures for the Civil War was something around 600,000. Single battles like Antietam, Gettysburg, Cold Harbor killed tens of thousands. Even back then there were those who wanted to sue for peace. They even had a Presidential Candidate rallying for the cause of Peace. His name was General George B McClellan former commanding General of the Army of the Potomac(that's a Union army for those of you who are historically challenged). He was a Democrat. He lost.<BR/><BR/>The more things change, the more they stay the same. I dubbed Kerry "General McClellan" all through the last election.
